If you like my butt then you’ll want to know my workout routine! I sit on it…jk, but really, you get what you give & I won’t see the results I want to because I won’t really work that hard to see results. Making this realization: recently I’ve been cranky the dial on my spin bike a little more & doing more difficult yoga poses!
When I set a goal to work out every day I usually workout at least 5 days a week! This way if things come up I planned for it unlike if my goal is 5 days a week it usually ends up being 3 because things will come up. This is also why I try to work out in the morning so if something gets planned for that evening I don’t have to worry about rushing & my hair being super gross!
I also like working out in the morning because I sit at a desk all day so it kind of helps me want to get up & move a lot more during the work day! Working out first thing in the morning helps me start drinking water throughout the day. I usually finish a water bottle & a glass of lemon water before I leave for work when I fit in a morning workout!
If I work out in the morning I don’t go to the gym. I have to be to work at 8a every morning so I’m not trying to get to the gym at 5a that’s usually when I try to start waking up! Depending on how much time I have I go on my bike for 10-30 minutes & do 15 minutes of yoga. If I don’t have enough time I always try to fit in at least 15 minutes of yoga, just to get moving & a little stretching in!
If I don’t work out in the morning & I have to wait ‘til after work I always try to go for a walk with Russell! Depending on the weather, if it’s raining we don’t go for a walk. In this case I’ll just go home & do what I would do in the morning. Since I always have time after work I try to do at least 30 minutes on my bike & always squeeze in yoga! A lot of the time I’ll do a YouTube video, usually Tone It Up! Those are my favorite because Karena & Katrina are so positive & keep the workouts fun!
IF I go to the gym I always try to do a class, usually a cycling class or a yoga class. I went to the gym with Courtney & we did a lifting class, which sounds super intimidating but it was so much fun! I LOVE trying new workouts with friends. I used to meet Katie at the gym but I don’t really go to the gym anymore. I think the last time I was at the gym it was arm day for Katie & 15 minutes into the workout I made up some excuse & left because I literally couldn’t lift my arms anymore…aha! So three days later I was finally able to wash my hair with no pain & I never went back!
Until last week. I wanted to start going to the gym again so I went three times last week & zero times this week. But just because you don’t go to the gym doesn’t mean you can’t workout. I workout at home & take Russell for walks, which counts! When I do go to the gym & don’t go to a class I like the stair climber a lot & using the machines for legs & booty. I definitely see a difference in my body when I go to the gym over all! Also, the elliptical really works my core & Katie taught me really good back workouts that definitely helped with my posture, so I’m going to give those a try, again!
I got some new workout clothes so I’m more motivated to go to the gym & be seen in them & they’re colorful!
This morning I got up at 4.45a & went on my bike for 30 minutes & did some yoga! Maybe after work today I’ll hit the gym & take Russell for a walk. Or maybe I’ll get my nails done. We’ll see!

I think just moving in any way is important! This summer I learned that I actually like going to the gym when it’s more crowded (I suppose something about blending in the crowd) and finally accepted that I’m just not a 6am work-out-er. Love your outfit choices too!

I totally agree just move & whatever gets you moving & if you enjoy it, do it! I used to go to the gym late because it was empty & decided late workouts weren’t for me because I would end up skipping them most of the time! Gotta do what’s right for you!
