Happy New Month!
Today is June 1st & I’ve set some new goals for myself this month! A new month is a fresh start. Like I wrote about in this post. A new month is a time to set new goals. If you didn’t hit your goals last month, maybe make the same goals but a little more attainable this month. Ask yourself why you didn’t reach those goals & plan out a way to set goals you will be able to reach. Don’t make them super easy, though, you do still need a bit of a challenge!
My goal for this month is to go to cycling every morning Monday-Friday. Yes, this is a little unrealistic but if I say 1-3 times a week I can easily put it off & maybe end up not even going, which has happened…This way even if I go 1-3 times a week I’m closer to my goal than if I didn’t go at all! So far this week I’ve cycled twice & it’s not even June. I am giving myself a little bit of wiggle room here, though. If I don’t make it to a cycling class, I’m going to count going on my bike at home for 30 minutes as “going to cycling.”
Another goal of mine is to see my sister more. I already see her & Liv AT LEAST once a week, I’d go insane if I didn’t see my family this often, but we can do better. Even when I lived in Virginia, I lived with my aunt & saw my family a lot or talked to them via phone & FaceTime almost everyday. Lin wants to start eating healthy & working out, so we can easily turn all our fam bonding into getting fit! We love going to the park together, so we just will have to go more often than we already do!
My goal for work is to go to more classes for Real Estate! I LOVE learning new things for Real Estate, especially because I’m so new, there are so many things for me to learn! Max & I also want to start a team, so maybe we’ll look into that this month!
My health goal for this month is to give up friend foods! Yes, this is going to be the hardest goal of this month! Are chips fried?? Whatever, I’m getting cheese fries!
Other goals, I’ll start to set for myself as the month goes on & then those become my goals for the next month, as well!
One goal I’ll always have, is to be nice & stay positive. It’s easy to get wrapped up & drama & not like people, I’m only human but I try my best to be nice to people in every situation. I’m not saying you can’t vent with your girls or stick up for yourself if someone is being mean to you, it’s only natural. BUT saying nasty things to people for no reason or just having a negative outlook on life isn’t going to make you better than anyone or feel good & if it does, maybe it goes deeper… & if you do get called out for being mean, own it, there’s nothing worse than a coward & a liar! It’s not your fault if your feelings get hurt by something someone said.
If I hear something about someone, I think, if it was said about me would it hurt my feelings? & if the answer is yes, I don’t repeat it. That’s why my hair is so big…it’s full of secrets! Just because you didn’t say it, doesn’t mean you’re not hurting someone’s feelings by telling them. & if you’re going to repeat something & someone calls you out, own it. You’re not protecting anyone by lying, including yourself. & if you are telling that person anything, know, that person is going back & repeating whatever you told them! Moral of the story…be a good person!
June mantra: “If you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all!”
