Sometimes you just need a me day. Just a day to relax & take care of you. It could be once a month, every other week or maybe once a week! But EVERYONE needs a break!
Last Friday (& Thursday) was my me day, well not exactly but I did not work out & I really did not even think about it. Okay, yes I did…but not in a guilty way, in a self encouraging way. I woke up at 6a with my period & enough time to wake up & get a good workout in & instead I laid in bed for and hour & a half awake…RELAXING! I didn’t even tell myself I was going to hit the gym or go for a walk after work, I went about my day as if I didn’t have to workout Friday (or Thursday). I know I should have because I did have time before & after work but some days you just have to take a me day! & some days your body says no & you just have to listen!
So that’s what I did last Friday (& Thursday) & it felt amazing! It really feels good to not put so much pressure on yourself to do something! I’m always telling myself I have to workout, even if I’m not feeling it, even if it’s a quick workout, you never know what’s gonna come up! But it felt good to just agree with my body & relax! You never regret a workout but you never regret taking care of yourself in other ways either!
Saturday, I woke right up a did a quick workout before work & let me tell you, it felt great! Listen to your body & take care of your body!
Monday, I started the Bikini Series, so I’m really glad I took a little break to let my body rest before I started this challenge! I felt refreshed & ready to jump start this fitness plan!
Work with your body not against it!
