Happy New Year! Everyone always makes new year’s resolutions and with a year like 2020 behind us there’s nothing but brightness in everyone’s future. So here are some tips to stay motivated for 2021 and kick start every morning!
1. Leave curtains open the night before:
I love waking up to natural sunlight but if you live in a dark place majority of the time invest in a “sunlight alarm”
2. Go for a walk
Or any type of movement to wake up your body and get your blood flowing. If you can get outside for a walk becoming grounded can help set the tone for your entire day.
3. Have a routine
If you have something to get up and going for then you’re more likely to get up before you actually have to.4. ManifestTell yourself what your day is going to be and manifest it! “Wake up in my bed, I just wanna have a good day. Think it in my head then it happens how it should, ay.” -Ariana Grande: But honestly think positive and manifest a good day and you’ll have one. Also thinking about how great your day will be is only going to get you more excited to start your day!
5. Take a quick shower
I’m a night shower person but if I workout in the morning I LOVE to jump in the shower real quick and rinse and just wake up. Sometimes in the summer I do this just to wake up and rinse because I don’t have an air conditioner in my bedroom. Starting the day fresh and awake always helps kick start my morning and prepare for the day ahead day ahead of me. It’s also great alone time to meditate and clear your mind before all your to-do lists and whatever else you have planned for the day.
