Makeup Review!

I’m doing a makeup review today! I went to Ulta a couple weeks ago & grabbed somethings that I thought I’d like to try out. Never leave makeup stores without swatches up your arm! 

So here are my thoughts:

L’Oréal Voluminous Lash Paradise: 6/10 Stars

I liked how it made my lashes look but it wasn’t a dramatic look. I also wear mascara to bed; I never wash off my mascara. This one was very flaky the next day even after reapplying it. It was really annoying I ended up using coconut oil to take it off the second I got home from work!

L’Oreal Primer: 6/10 Stars

I liked this & it made a slight difference with the L’Oreal Voluminous Lash Paradise but I don’t find this product a necessity. I’ll have to try it with different mascara, I only tried it with the L’oreal VLP & like I said L’Oreal VLP wasn’t very dramatic alone so with the primer it didn’t make that much of a difference. I also LOVE Benefit They’re Real primer so in comparison there really is none between the two…

Two Faced Better Than Sex Mascara: 9/10 Stars

I used this every day for a week & LOVED it but Benefit Roller Lash will always have my heart.

*The reason I grabbed L’Oréal VLP is because it’s supposed to be a dupe for Too Face BTS Mascara so obviously I had to grab them both! I think Too Faced is definitely better for a more dramatic & longlasting look without flaking! If you wash your mascara off nightly & want something cheaper then definitely go for L’Oréal!

Two Faced Papa Don’t Peach: 10/10 Stars

I have used this every day since I bought it & will continue to do so… I honestly think this is my new blush staple. It has a slight highlight to it & the color is just perfect for me! It also has a mirror & even the packaging is so cute I LOVE carrying it around!

Maybelline Brow Definer: 8/10 Stars

I really like it but I don’t find it an essential!

Maybelline Blush: 5/10 Stars

I tried this because I LOVE stick foundation. My Makeup Forever Ultra HD Stick is my life! But this product, I feel when I try to blend this product it just comes off, looks very subtle or just looks like a line. So I tried it under my foundation & liked the subtle glow that showed through with another highlighter over top. If you like a subtle look & don’t mind blending too much I recommend. I however LOVE a good highlight so if I continue to use this I will be using a second highlighter to pair with it!

Mac High Drama Matte Lipstick: 8/10 Stars

I picked this up because it is a dupe for Kourt K by Kylie Cosmetics & they don’t sell that anymore! I LOVED this color & the wear. The only reason it didn’t get 10 stars is because the application is tricky with the wand provided & it looks a little blotchy, even on pictures I’ve seen on Pinterest. I definitely needed two full coats to get a solid color but when I succeeded in this I LOVED the color & it lasted all night! I was even drinking & in a hot tub for 3 hours & the color lasted the entire time! This will definitely be my fall staple & hopefully application will get A LOT easier with practice! (I got this from Macy’s not Ulta)!

Sorry this post is so late in the night, I just got home from work & am currently eating a frozen pizza while watching Nicole Guerrioro videos because DUH!
