Last week the quote in my planner read: “Read about the life of a person you admire.” So because today is International Women’s Day I’ll start with a book I read in high school about my #1 role model (besides people in my family obviously): Enchantment: The Life of Audrey Hepburn.
I read this book in three days while my friend and I were visiting her grandmother in Florida. I’ve been obsessed with Audrey Hepburn since the first time I saw Breakfast at Tiffany’s, as I’m sure every other 15 year old was, too. This book is the “definition” of you don’t know someone until you walk in their shoes. She is truly inspiring and I recommend this book to everyone, even men.
Onto the book I actually read, The Rose That Grew From Concrete, a book of poems by Tupac Shakur. This is another book that proves yo0u don’t really know someone until you read their diary. I mean anyone who listens to ‘Changes’ knows that Tupac was way ahead of his time and an inspirational legend. He really was an artist and I encourage everyone to read this book, which you will finish in one sitting and want to reread right away.
Leave below a book you’ve read abuot someone you admire & Happy International Women’s Day!
That’s all…xxTay!
