I haven’t been sick in a year…yeah a YEAR! I figured, since I think that is a great triumph, I’d give a few tips on how I keep my immune system so strong! Also..not a doctor, just things I do that work for me!
1. Wash your hands but don’t over wash them…weird but true. After the bathroom, after handling the garbage, before eating…obviously but also after I pump gas, I keep a hand sanitizer on my key chain & use it after every time, I even wipe my steering wheel with it! You don’t need to wash your hands after touching people…you could get crazy with this one but don’t, some germs are good, they actually help build your immune system to fight against them.
2. Clean your area! My one coworker is always sick & yes, some germs are good but when you’re eyeballs are falling out please stay home…he doesn’t, so I feel it necessary to clean my area & sometimes the girls & will take turns spraying his area with Lysol when he’s not looking!
3. Stay away from kids!
4. No kisses, not even bedtime kisses…Max has been sick a few times this past year & no kisses. Maybe a forehead kiss here & there because he’s so cute when he isn’t fidgeting & touching everything (ADHD) but that’s it, one!
5. Eat healthy. I swear this one keeps me feeling great.
6. Dress appropriately. Don’t go outside in the cold with a wet head. Also, don’t stay in a stuffy environment, open a window every once & a while for fresh air. Summertime…go outside!
7. Sweat. Working out makes such a big difference in mood & health. Sweat out all those toxins but if you’re going to a gym, make sure you clean your equipment!
8. Wipe your phone off. Once a week I clean mine & Max’s phone with Clorox wipe! Phones carry so many germs, especially his being on a construction site all day!
9. Rest. I get plenty of sleep & when I don’t I notice within two days how tired & drowsy I am & I schedule an early bedtime ASAP! If you go on too little hours of sleep you will wear yourself out & weaken your immune system!
10. Drink tea. I don’t know what it is but tea helps everything!
Bonus: Stay positive! I swear when I hated my job I was sick once a month. Now that I love my job I’m never sick! Even with my sick coworker, I learned my lesson fast, I don’t get sick around him. Before a customer would have a cold & I’d get the flu! Thinking negative thoughts all the time will bring you down & make you sick!
Now that flu season is upon us, I hope these tips will help keep you healthy & at every pumpkin patch & Friendsgiving & so on!
That’s all…xxTay!
