Thank you beginning of fall and Thanksgiving break for giving me time to read and read some more LOL
The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo: 5/5 OMG what a shocking twist. I knew it was coming but not THAT!! Even when everything was revealed I still couldn’t help but absolutely love Evelyn Hugo. I totally understand how she had 7 husbands LOL this book is a must read!
The Couple Next Door: 4/5 I kinda wish I didn’t read the last 20ish pages when I got to page 25 LOL there was, however, a lot revealed throughout the book that made it so good even though I sort of ruined the ending for myself. I needed to know how everything unfolded and WOW what a twisted book. Definitely recommend if you’re into mystery and not too scary.
Behind Her Eyes: 5/5 WTF!! I am sooooo glad I did not read the last chapter of this book. Omg this book was so unbelievably good. This book kept me up at night thinking about Adele and everything. HIGHLY recommend and DO NOT read ahead.
The Sun Down Hotel: 5/5 This book was so good and I love books when everything falls perfectly into place. Even though it was a thriller and I stayed up until 3am after finishing this book, thankfully I don’t live alone or I’d probably never sleep again after my streak of thrillers LOL if you like books about ghosts and mystery and unsolved murders you will LOVE this book.
The Silent Patient: 4/5 I had a feeling how this one would end. Still such a good read and a reminder of why I don’t read thrillers LOL I LOVE rom coms because there’s always closure and this one gives you that closure, that I need, unlike some thrillers written like this one. cough cough Behind Her Eyes
The Four Winds: 4/5 Not sure how this won book of the year though it was good I still wouldn’t have voted it for it if I had finished it before voting ended. ONLY because I loved Malibu Rising and voted for that one. That being said it was such a good book! I definitely recommend especially if you like fiction based on actual events in history. It was a very real and heart warming story.
The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue: 5/5 I’m not gonna lie…for about the first 60 pages it was a struggle to get into just because of the going back and forth. After that though…this book was amazing! It’s a long book and took a while for me to finish but it was well worth it. I actually cried at the very end, which doesn’t happen easily.
Not a Happy Family: 4/5 I definitely didn’t guess the murder and I definitely didn’t see the epilogue coming…will there be a sequel?! If you like suspense and twist you will enjoy this one!
Beach Read: 5/5 this book was super cute. Typical I hate you but secretly love you and am going to fight it and you until I physically can’t anymore. The plots with both characters were deeper than any other romcoms I’ve read before which is what made me really like this book. I love rom coms but this brought the genre to the next level.
The Family: 5/5 basically the Sopranos in the early to med 1900s. It was really bad yogic for me because I used to watch the sopranos with my dad in high school and made me really sad for the one character. If you like old school “mafia” type books/shows/movies you will love this book. Also, enjoyed how the book focused around the daughters and their friendship, which made the ending that much better #girlpower
That’s all…xxTay!
