Not to brag but…I had the best weekend!
Friday night, I worked the Home Show, which I’m sad it’s over! It went on for two weekends but I feel like I missed out on this weekend because I only worked one day.
Anyway, after I left downtown I met up with Court for dinner because it was after 9p with no food. We didn’t stay out too late because I had class the next morning & she had a night out planned the following night.
Saturday, Max & I had class promptly at 9a. After class, my family came over and we drove downtown to go ice skating. I LOVE Ice skating I’m not very good at it…I can go forward and stop by slowing down or crashing into something. That’s the extent of my talents on the ice but I love it!
Last month, Max & I went snowboarding & I was awful…like screamed going down the hill, fell, & lay in the snow longer than I was able to stand.
Insert Max telling me he’s proud of how well I did & me not being able to take a compliment:
Max: “You didn’t fall as much as I thought you would!”
Me: “You can’t fall when you’re already on the ground!”
It’s safe to say when it comes to winter sports I’m no Tanya Harding or Shaun White! The point is I had so much every year we go ice skating & trying new things!
After channeling my inner Michelle Kwan & NOT succeeding, Max & I went to dinner. We tried a new place downtown & want to go back every night from now on! It was so good. Everything we ordered was amazing. I’m not biased because I know someone who works there & her boyfriend owns the place because Max agreed!

That night we met Leanne out with her friends who were around the block from the restaurant we went to. They were celebrating her friend’s birthday, so we crashed for a drink & headed back into town to meet up with Court.
Court’s fiancé, Kenny is going to training camp to be a marine. He leaves Wednesday, so we had a little going away night out! We jumped to a couple different bars & stayed out later than we thought! We had a great night & were still functioning productive humans come Sunday morning.
Sunday, I had an appointment, then Max & I went to brunch, 2 open houses & visited my parents & his grandparents! After a productive morning/afternoon we went to a house party & a bar for a couple after that. We were still on a roll so we left the bar early & went grocery shopping & picked up Chinese food. That night we just lay in bed watching Fixer Upper & eating our Lo Mein!
Tonight, is my last night at Francesca’s which is bitter sweet because I started there when they first opened in that mall…I was one of the OGs that lasted ‘til the end!
Happy Monday!
That’s all…xxTay!
