This weekend was very spontaneous! Really, though. Nothing was planned until the day of/night before, sort of.
Friday, there were no set plans for anything. I took Russell for a walk with Olivia & went home. Max & I were going to have a date night but he ended up staying out later than expected with a friend. I didn’t want to sit home on a Friday night, so naturally I went & got a spray tan (I’ll have tips on how to get the best spray tan soon)… after that I stopped at 7Eleven where a couple our friends pulled in right next to me & invited me over! So I followed them back to their house & they had a bon fire & we watched the Cavs game with a few of our other friends.
Max ended up showing up to Court & Kenny’s later that night (after he took a 2 hour nap). He must have felt bad about standing me up for date night because he surprised me with Taste of Country tickets! Neither of us has ever been so it was really exciting!
Side note: my parents are out of town so I’ve been stopping at there place everyday, hence taking Russell for walks everyday. My dad sent me these two pictures captioning the last one, “Trendy huh?” Aha yes, dad!
Saturday we slept in until 11a, which is actually really rare for me. Max headed to a side job & I went to PetSmart with my brother, Travis & Russell. After our embarrassing shopping trip I took Russell for a long walk. I went home & Max called not long after to pick me up for lunch. We tried a new place on Hertel because he wanted to sit on a patio, PERFECT! We took too long shoving our faces so we had literally no time to get ready for the concert, this is NOT rare!
We headed downtown & met up with our friends Amanda & Kelsey to tailgate before the concert. Poor Max was the only guy with us, so he spent his time ‘celeb watching’ (where we were in the garage looked over the tour busses & entry to get into VIP). Max spotted a bunch of Bills’ players with their Backstage Passes & was star struck when he saw Jim Kelly & his whole family.
The line into the concert took forever but we made it in before the main event, Rascal Flatts! I thought Max was going to have a panic attack when the security guard told Kelsey there was no way anyone in line was going to get into the concert (it was literally at a standstill for 2 full acts)…but we found a way, although I do feel bad for the people who were still waiting in line. The concert was so much fun!
Sunday was the laziest day for us. We slept til 11a, again & just had a chill day. Max & I went to lunch & then I walked Russell. I was sweating after our 30 minute WALK so I met Max back at home where we watched Wedding Crashers for the rest of the afternoon. I made an attempt to see if any of our friends were doing anything for Sunday Funday, but instead we ended up meeting up with my sister at the river for dinner & ended the night falling asleep to Gentlemen Prefer Blondes!
This morning I woke up to the sun coming in through my window & birds chirping…no joke, I’m literally Cinderella. I made it to work super early just to remember my boss has the day off, so now I’m enjoying a snack & the fact that it’s 78 degrees outside & I’m in an office with no windows.
That’s all…xxTay!
