Weekend Recap!

Happy Monday!

How was everyone’s weekend?? Mine was GREAT, Tony the Tiger GREAT & I woke up this morning with my car in front of my apartment, not in a different city!

This past Thursday Max & I had a date night at Chile’s, then went home & watched the Blacklist…SHOCKER! Then Friday, we went to Bonefish to visit our friend Jimmy who bartends, we always sit at the bar when we go & we only go to see Jimmy! When we got home, you guessed it; we watched another episode of the Blacklist. Max works now Monday-Saturday so we usually do date nights on “school nights” rather than going out & leave Saturday night open for going out or other plans.

Saturday, I went to look at houses with my grandma, aunt Jen & my mom. My grandma is looking for a home closer to us for the winter so that she’s not in the middle of nowhere if she ever gets a big storm & gets stranded. Good news: she found one & is putting an offer in tomorrow, so fingers crossed! Don’t worry she isn’t selling her home, that place is literally my grandpa’s soul! & besides, how could she live without the beach?? How could anyone??

Speaking about my grandpa, his birthday was Saturday, too! So that night we took my dad out. After house hunting & before we picked my dad up I had a lot to get done! I cleaned my entire apartment…& I still have a ways to go, spring cleaning never ends! Max got home from work & took a nap, his usual Saturday afternoon routine, so I had time to clean my closet before we went & got dinner. We planned on going to Chipotle & then meeting at our friend’s place to go to a local festival & hangout in the beer tent, but my dad wanted to go so we picked him up instead & headed straight there.

We had so much fun! We got pizza & fries covered in cheese, Max & my dad shared a bucket of fries covered in chili & cheese. They drank their body weight in beer because they both knew someone serving each time one of them went up for the beers they’d get them for free…After the fireworks, we were all “kicked out” aka the festival was over, we headed to the Jake for a couple drinks. I had water & Max & my dad had margaritas until Max & I were dragging my dad out of the bar because he wanted to stay out all night!

Sunday Funday was exactly that, a fun day! We started it by going to brunch with our friends we haven’t seen in forever because I’ve been sick & Max literally works from 6a-5p then does side jobs after work. We hung out for a little bit playing corn hole & then headed to my aunt Jen’s house for my cousin Austin’s grad party where we played more corn hole with my cousin, Alison, & her fiancé, Zach! Aunt Jen sent us home with so many left overs, which I heated up the second Max & I got home. We were supposed to go grocery shopping but didn’t end up leaving the party til after 10p so we nixed that plan & went straight home. Max was out cold before I even put my pasta in the microwave, so we did not watch the Blacklist…SHOCKER, I know!

Now I’m eating an old salad that I made last week with EXTRA creaming avocado dressing to disguise my nasty ass lunch because I forgot to pack the left over pasta, which was delicious! Who wants warm leftover pasta when you can eat a week old salad, anyway?? I’m also drinking a diet pepsi wishing it was a dr. pepper because I literally drink pop once a month maybe even 2 months and that’s MY GO TO. This can’s claiming to be aspartame free now, whatever that is, so I guess this’ll have to do…anything to cover up the taste of this tired ass romaine…AHA!
