This weekend was one of my favorite memories with Max but it went by WAY too fast. He surprised me (sort of) with a weekend full of fun stuff he planned & he is NOT a planner! It was a really nice, really busy weekend but I enjoyed every minute of it.
Friday, I had to close so Max ended up showing up at my work to take my car to get an oil change. I’ve been needing one for a while & the other day Max had to put oil in my car because it was burning it…after that he kept telling me to get it done, which I didn’t, so he just ended up doing it himself…YAY for me!
He had a lot of running around to do (including picking me up self-tanner aha) before Saturday while I was at work, so I grabbed us Thai food on my way home (shout out to Alison for her Thai food restaurant suggestion). We spent the rest of the night eating & watching The Blacklist, we actually stayed up super late watching it, which we never do because we always fall asleep during the second episode & have to re watch it the next night!
Saturday, I slept in ‘til about 8.30/9a & finally decided to get up when Max texted me telling me to be ready when he got home from work. So I got up & jumped in the shower (after throwing a load of laundry in), I desperately needed to wash my hair, so this was first on my itinerary. Second was to make coffee…AHA! The other things on the list weren’t as important to get done right away so I was able to relax & watch my usual morning YouTube videos while I painted my toe nails black in a face mask…so extra!
Max got home around quarter to 1 so I had time to do A LOT of cleaning, laundry, pack, dry my hair & relax a bit! We stopped at Tim Horton’s & headed for Cleveland, Ohio. Max had said to pack a nice outfit that didn’t included ripped jeans…I only own three pairs of jeans that don’t have a single hole in them! We had such a fun mini road trip just talking & playing the most random music besides Ed Sheeran. Yes, the surprise was to go to an Ed Sheeran concert in Cleveland! It was so much fun.
The reason I had to wear a nice outfit was because he planned a nice dinner date for us before the concert. & it was really nice; I give Max a lot of props for setting this up! After dinner we headed to the arena for the concert & had the best time, again (we saw him in Buffalo a couple months ago & Max fell in LOVE with him). He actually sang different songs because it was the anniversary of his first album & he had a different opener, so that was pretty cool!
After the concert, Max & I decided to check out the night life…It was pretty busy but we finally found this Mexican restaurant down some alley & got margaritas, chips & fish tacos! After we ate we headed back to the hotel to sleep because we had to be up early the next morning.
Sunday, Max set his alarm for 6a…I honestly didn’t believe that we would be going but Max was serious. So we got on the road at 7a & headed for our home team stadium for the home opener & my first ever football game! We did stop at Krispy Kreme on our way back, though…AHA! It was so much fun but those events go ALL day. We drove straight from Ohio to the stadium so we got there around 10.30a to tailgate & stayed ‘til traffic died down around 4.30p…That’s a long day!
But it wasn’t over. When we got back to town we dropped off Krispy Kreme donuts to Max Jr & the rest of my family. Olivia was there which I was counting on because I bought her her favorite flavor donut!
Finally, we made it back him & Max made us max & cheese for dinner. I barely touched it and fell asleep 10 minutes into an episode of The Blacklist (sorry Max) I’m pretty sure he fell asleep, too!
Today, I couldn’t get out of bed to save my life but I did because Simba decided to sleep in my face…now I’m about to jump in the shower & hopefully Max has an idea for dinner tonight!
Today marks the 16 year anniversary of 9/11. Never forget the heros and the lives affected by the 9/11 attacks. Love Love Love!
Happy Monday!
That’s all…Tay!
