What’s In My Beach Bag: Pool Day!

I LOVE the beach. I don’t think I know anyone who doesn’t. Because my grandma lives on a beach my summers revolved around going to the beach. My family & I would pack up for a day, a long weekend or even weeks… 

That being said, we didn’t always have to have necessities when it came to going to the actual beach because anything we’d forget we’d just walk 10ft back to gram’s house. Now that I’ve been venturing out & going to different beaches in WNY I have a grasps on what needs to be in a beach bag when gram isn’t a short walk away. 

Here’s what I keep in my beach bag at all times (minus the snacks because I was at my gram’s aha):

Sandals! This is pretty obvious but Max has worn his sneakers to the beach before… Sometimes the sand is super hot or there are rocks or the black top is scalding!

Towel (2)! One to lay on & one to dry of if you go swimming!

Coozie! To keep your drinks cool in the sun!

Sunscreen &/ Block! I use 50spf on my face & 30/15spf on the rest of my body. To each their own but definitely use something!

A Hat! I have blonde hair so my scalp burns & when it peels it looks like dandruff. It also adds extra protection to your face!

Water! To stay hydrated!

A Book! I love relaxing in the sun with a good book!

Sunglasses! Protect those eyes & who doesn’t like wearing a cute pair of sunnies!

Hair Clip/Tie! It can get hot & sticky so it’s nice to pull your hair back!

A beach cover up! I know I don’t like walking around the beach fully exposed so I like to bring a cute little cover up so I don’t have to get fully dressed to walk over to the bar!

Snacks! Don’t forget the snacks. Pretzels & almonds are always a good healthy choice that won’t go bad after being in the sun all day!

Wallet! Don’t forget your wallet in case there is a tiki bar or you forgot anything!
